" I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with a full British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accreditation and a Registered Mental Health Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) full registration. For over 14 years, I have dedicated my work to promoting the mental well-being of people and improving understanding and insight into their mental health conditions and needs. I have done top up professional development courses for meeting the psychological needs of people who struggle long-term health conditions. I have completed Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) which have been useful when working with patients who experience psychological difficulties stemming from long-term health conditions like Diabetes, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Pain and Functional Neurological Disorder. I have also completed Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Currently, I work as a CBT therapist in private practice in Birmingham as well as doing the same role NHS. I work with my partner who is a clinical Registered Mental Health Nurse specialist within Children and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) neurodevelopmental pathway. We have supported young people with neurodevelopmental concerns and contributed in compiling their Educational Healthcare Plan (EHCP) and also supporting their family members. "
